Happy Anniversary
One of the groups I belong to has a colour challenge each month and April's was pastel colours. I also had to make a card for my friend's wedding anniversary and her favourite flower is the pansy. So this one covers the bases for both the colour challenge and the occasion The flowers are coloured with watercolour pencil crayons and then the colour is blended with a paint brush and rubbing alcohol rather than water. Someone on one of my groups made this suggestion as the alcohol evaporates faster than the water and doesn't make the c/s pill up. Worked like a charm. The yellow cardstock for the base card and the saying are actually the same colour just that the Happy Anniversary is raised so it scanned brighter than the base.

I LOVE this card, Sandie!!! Your blog is really looking AWESOME!!!!
Your card is so soft and lovely!
This is really pretty! I just found your blog from Suze's group. I hadn't heard about using the alcohol before. Have you tried Gamsol with them? It's a much less potent form of I think mineral spirits. It makes for gorgeous blending with colored pencils or chalk. If you google Debbie Gimble or Magic Color Pencil the tutorial she wrote about it should come up. There is a book with a name very similar but it's not that. Debbies is a small booklet but it is online to read as well. There used to be a link to it on Gingerstamp.com may still be. Just thought you might be interested to try it. I'll try your alcohol tech also! Thanks for the idea!

Lovely card. Luck friend. I've used alcohol (or rather odorless mineral spirits) on colored pencils, but never tried them on watercolor pencils.
