Thinking Spring

This is my ATC for TGIF on Altered Designs. The theme was eyelets which are something I have a ton of but never think to use.

Still Playing with Snow

Well Christmas is long past but since there is still lots of snow around this is the ATC I did for the January Lottery on one of my yahoo groups

A Birthday Card with a Difference

It was my friend Sandy's birthday on Friday and she is into doing different types of folds right now so I thought I would do something that was different.
This started out as a large circle (8 inch) and you score it on three sides so all folds are the same length and the three rounded flaps interlock to hold it closed. I wanted a bit more area to stamp on so I cut two more circles, one 1/4 inch larger than the other and glued together and then glued on one of the flaps. The two little pink tabs help to hold it all closed. Each side measures 6 1/2 inches.

TGIF ATC

I haven't been very creative since doing my Christmas cards but I did manage to create a Birthday card which I forgot to scan before mailing and this ATC for the Friday Mingle on Altered Designs. The theme was Transparencies and this is a tropical scene printed to transparency and then mounted over a piece of polished stone. It was done with alcohol inks in terracotta, butterscotch and copper with the setting sun done with a punched circle of scrap paper glued to the polished stone at just the right position to look like it is setting on the horizon. The word was stamped with Memories white ink but wasn't dark enough to suit so I went over it with the Sakura White Glaze pen. To attach the transparency to the background I used copper foil tape.

Looking at this picture you can imagine how much I would like to be in it when all I see looking out my window is snow and ice. Hope you all are having a great day and keeping warm or cool depending on which hemisphere you live in. Feel free to leave me comments, they are always welcome and appreciated.

An Award

A very sweet and lovely person by the name of Gabrielle ( The Results of My Inspirations) very kindly gave me this award with no rules attached. I thank her very much for thinking of me and ask that you stop over and visit her blog. Be sure while you are there to click over and check out her Moo blog and some of the other blogs she has listed in the award post as well. This lady creates the most awsome art, so elegant and beautiful that it is a joy to see and inspires me every time I visit.
